  • Kelsey Schulz hones her unique skillset of business sense, a law firm background, and in-house studio experience to provide personalized legal services in television, new media, and film.   

    Kelsey counsels content-creating companies and studios like Entertainment One, Kin Community, and Our House Media on all aspects of entertainment business, including development, production, and distribution legal as well as corporate, business, and other intellectual property matters. Kelsey also works with companies like Dragon Horse Publishing, who are adapting books and other media to the big and small screens.  

    She represents independent powerhouse producers and filmmakers including Emmy and Webby award-winning producer and author, Angela Tucker, three-time regional Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker, Bryan Tucker, and the dynamo producing pair, Melissa Dale-Berry and Executive Producer of Flying Wild Alaska and Life Below Zero Tommy Baynard

    Prior to founding Schulz Entertainment Law PC, Kelsey ran in-house business and legal affairs for Kin Community, served as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Kew Media Group, worked as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for a Warner Media Company, and was an Associate in the distinguished entertainment group of the law firm, Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP. 

    She has spent her career helping clients structure, negotiate, and draft innovative deals in television and navigate the legal landscape through all stages of content creation. Distinctively, Kelsey operates her personal practice and the firm with quality, authenticity, and kindness as the north stars. Her counsel extends beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to legal services, pushing deals into new frontiers to achieve the most desirable outcomes for her clients.  

    Kelsey is wife to producer-writer-director and Amazon executive, Dick Schulz and devoted parent to Emerson and Jonah. She spends time working with the southern California organization, Chrysalis, which serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. Kelsey is committed to eliminating systemic barriers for under-served individuals and groups in her community. Those activities carry through to her work, the clients she represents, and the stories they’re telling.  

    • Represented Kin Community in striking and closing novel cable and VOD licensing deals of digital-first series and original partner-series, including:

      — License of 80 episodes of the hit YouTube digital series, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix and 16 episodes of the original series, It’s Me, Julissa with Julissa Bermudez to Cleo TV

      —Multi-series cable licensing deal with Aspire, including the launch of the original series, Just Angela featuring actress and entrepreneur, Angela Simmons, and syndication of Side by Side with Malika and Khadijah, the famous Haqq sisters

      — License deal with Philo to launch Philo’s first original series, Boss Moves featuring the iconic Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast member Rasheeda Frost

      — Multi-series license of Tia Mowry’s Comfort Kitchen, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix, Hello Hunnay with Jeannie Mai Jenkins, and All Things Adrienne with Adrienne Houghton among other Kin series to Chicken Soup for the Soul in connection with its AVOD launch

    • Rendered production legal services on the Sundance Now scripted series This Close written by and starring deaf creators, Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, which prioritized disability representation both in front of and behind the camera

    • Closed agreements to integrate brands like Dyson, Amazon Fresh, Credit Karma, Ally Bank, Slim Jim, Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, Hello Fresh, Thrive Market, Honest Co., Poise, Aveeno, Benjamin Moore Paint, Ancestry, The Knot, Jimmy Dean, Etsy, Ritual, Wondery, among others into client’s series

    • Worked with department head, Saul Friedman, to establish an unscripted television department for Warner Media company, Super Deluxe

    • Provided legal services for Warner Media company, Super Deluxe, on groundbreaking Internet series like Vic Berger Presents, Joanne The Scammer, and Cheap Thrills featuring Tobasko Sweet

    • Provided full-scope production legal services on notable, long running series including:

      -Ridiculousness hosted by Rob Dyrdek and running new episodes for over a decade on MTV

      -Dance Moms, iconic eight-season series on Lifetime

      -Expedition Unknown, the distinguished world-travel, adventure series on Discovery

      -Finding Bigfoot, the twelve-season investigative search series

    • Closed development deals on behalf of Ping Pong Productions with Dr. Sandra Lee for the smash hit, Dr. Pimple Popper

    • Performed on the 3-person litigation team representing Equals Three in the notable case, Equals Three, LLC v. Jukin Media, Inc., winning opposition to a motion for partial summary judgment and achieving a written opinion of critical importance from the Ninth Circuit in favor of fair-use

  • Christine Krikorian is a Senior Attorney at Schulz Entertainment Law PC, where she is an astute advocate and trusted advisor in the dynamic world of entertainment law.

    Christine supports production company clients in all stages of content creation and deal making, including drafting and negotiating shopping agreements, attachment agreements, option purchase agreements, and other rights acquisition and development deals; advising clients on production legal matters and managing day-to-day production contracts; and conducting episodic review and legal analysis to clear clients’ shows and films for delivery and distribution.

    Christine brings a wealth of experience in scripted television to expand Schulz Entertainment Law PCs service offerings to both its longstanding and new clients. Prior to joining Schulz Entertainment Law PC, Christine held significant positions at prominent entertainment companies. Her tenure as Senior Director of TV Business & Legal Affairs at Entertainment One in Santa Monica, CA, was characterized by her work on the projects, Cruel Summer for Freeform, The Recruit for Netflix, and The Rookie Franchise for ABC Network. Christine also made valuable contributions during her time at Legendary Television, where she served as Director of TV Business Legal Affairs, handling a wide range of agreements for live action and animated television. She notably worked on the projects, Paper Girls and Carnival Row, both for Amazon, Skull Island for Netflix, and Debris for NBC.

    Christine is highly regarded by clients, colleagues, and counterparties alike for her collaborative style and dependable work ethic, as well as her exceptional skills in negotiation, drafting, and management of pivotal agreements that drive the success of creative projects.

    Christine is a devoted parent who treasures her downtime with her children. She enjoys engaging in outdoor activities and creating cherished memories through adventures in the great outdoors.   • As Schulz Entertainment Law PC’s Executive Administrator and Legal Assistant, Sarah Armendariz provides administrative support and assistance to all attorneys, staff and clients.

    Prior to working at Schulz Entertainment Law PC, Sarah was the executive assistant at the San Francisco Chronicle. There she played a vital role in supporting the Bay Area’s leading media company. She worked closely with the company’s CEO, editor-in-chief, and VPs of finance, marketing, sales, and HR.

    Sarah is a San Diego native and University of San Francisco alum with a degree in Media and Journalism. Her passion for arts and entertainment combined with her demonstrated success working with high-level executives has kept her happily in the media sphere, where she plans to continue growing administratively.
